Ciao Hardstyle Lovers! Sto bene! A proposito, grazie dell’intervista!

Da dove deriva l’alias “Warface”?
Viene dal film Full Metal Jacket. C’è una scena dove il sergente Hartman chiede privatamente a Joker di svelargli la sua "faccia da guerra". Sono un grande appassionato di cinema e non ho resistito a prendere il nome e ad adattarlo col mio stile musicale.

In che modo ti sei avvicinato alla musica quando eri giovane? E perchè hai scelto di produrre musica hardstyle? Che cosa hai trovato in questo tipo di musica che ti ha affascinato così tanto?
Quando avevo 14 anni ho iniziato ad ascoltare Jump e Hardcore, ascoltavo anche Triax quando ero giovane (non sapevo che Triax fosse in realtà Remco, haha). Quando la Jump è diventata più mainstream ho cercato qualcosa di nuovo e mi sono avvicinato all’Hardstyle tra il 2007 e il 2008, e quando sono andato al mio primo festival e sapevo che Headhunterz suonava per la prima volta ho capito che avrei voluto diventare DJ/producer. Remco ed io discutiamo molto sul come produrre tracce. Ogni nostra traccia deve avere un significato ed è ciò che voglio in ogni mio brano. Ogni traccia deve trasmettere un messaggio. Quindi nella maggior parte del tempo cerchiamo di unire le nostre idee e Remco fa da arrangement

Pensi che la Rawstyle diventerà sempre più popolare? E perchè ti piace questo genere?
Si, sicuramente! Lo si può vedere dai vari festival e party. Penso che i fans chiedano più “crudezza” in questo momento e con tutti i new talents che si stanno affacciando alla scena penso che la Rawstyle diventerà sempre più conosciuta nei prossimi anni.

Quali sono i tuoi hobby nel tempo libero?
I miei hobby sono giocare a calcio, il fitness, uscire con gli amici, insomma come ogni altro essere umano haha!

Con quali dj hai in programma le tue prossime collaborazioni?
Con Delete, Deetox e Dark Pact! E certamente in futuro ci saranno collaborazioni con grandi nomi della scena, ma è un segreto per adesso!

E' possibile che presto verrai a suonare per la prima volta in Italia?
Sì, maggiori informazioni verranno svelate presto

Cosa consigli ai giovani che vogliono intraprendere la carriera da dj?
Cercate sempre di avere un proprio ed unico stile nel design e nella struttura del suono. Non copiate i grandi artisti del momento. Nessuno è in attesa di un nuovo Headhunterz o Radical Redemption. Provate ad essere innovativi e pensate fuori dagli schemi, rimanete fedeli a voi stessi e producete ciò che vi piace veramente.

Cosa pensi dell'Hardstyle italiana? Quali sono i dj italiani che ti piacciono di più o dalla quale trai ispirazione?
Technoboy, Tuneboy, Tatanka e Zatox sono vere icone della scena Hardstyle e mi hanno molto influenzato, anche The R3belz con il suo stile di qualche tempo fa (Like Bionicle, Pattern 1, Pattern 2). Non mi piace tutta l’Hardstyle italiana ma la "crudezza" della raw è sicuramente qualcosa che apprezzo.

In quale party ti piacerebbe suonare in futuro?
Ci sono molti party alla quale vorrei prendere parte in futuro, ma quello in cui ci terrei a suonare è l’Hard Bass. E’ stato il mio primo grande party alla quale ho partecipato. 30.000 persone che vanno fuori di testa di fronte a te per la tua musica, penso che sia un sogno per ogni dj.

Una domanda per Remco: come ci si trova a gestire 2 progetti?
Non è facile se non hai tanti eventi in programma. La gestione è molto importante per andare avanti e raggiungere i tuoi obiettivi.

Hi Hardstyle lovers, i'm fine! thanks for the interview btw!

Where did you find your alias "Warface"?
It's from the movie Full Metal Jacket. There is one scene with sergeant Hartman when he asked private Joker to show him his Warface. Because i'm a big movie fan and I couldn't recist to take that name and it fits in my style of music actually.

How do you approach to music when you were young? And why you have chosen to produce hardstyle music? What have you found into this music that fascinated you so much?
When i was 14 i started listened to Jump and Hardcore, ive listened even to Triax when i was Younger (I didnt know that Triax was Remco, haha). When Jump was getting more mainstream i was searching to something new and i came in contact with Hardstyle in the year of 2007-2008 and when i visited my first festival and i saw Headhunterz playing for the first time i knew that i want to be a DJ/producer. Remco and I are discussing a lot about producing the tracks. Every Warface track have his own meaning and thats something i want to have always in my tracks. A track with a message. We are combine most of the time our ideas and Remco does the arrangement

Do you think that the Rawstyle will become increasingly known in next years?
Yes, for sure! You can see that on the festivals and partys. The crowd demands rawness more at the moment i guess and with many talents upcomming in the scene i think that rawstyle will increasingly known in the next years.

Which are your hobbies in the free time?
My hobbies in my free time are playing football, Fitness, hanging out with friends, just like any other humanbeing haha!

With which djs have you in program your next collaborations?
Delete, Deetox and Dark Pact! And offcourse in the future also with bigger names in the scene, but that will be a secret for now.

It's possible that you'll be coming soon in Italy to play for first time?
Yes, more info will be revealed soon

What do you advice to young djs that wants succeed in the production world?
Always try to have your own unique style in your sound design and structure. Don't copy the biggist artist at the moment. Nobody is waiting for an new Headhunterz or Radical Redemption. Try to be innovative an think outside of the box and stay true to yourselff and produce what you really like.

What do you think about Italian Hardstyle? And who do you like more or inspires you?
Technoboy, Tuneboy, Tatanka and Zatox are true icons in the hardstyle scene and they influenced me a lot, also the R3belz his style from a couple of years a go (Like Bionicle, Pattern 1 and 2 etc). I don't like all Italian Hardstyle but the harder (raw) stuff is definatly something i dig.

In which party would you like to play in the future?
There are a lot awesome partys i wan't to play in the future but the party were i really want to play is Hard Bass. Because it was one of my first big partys i went as visitor. 30.000 of the dedicates hardstyle heads they are going nuts in the front of you on your own music, thats a dream for every (Hardstyle) DJ I think.

Question for Remco: how is managing two projects?
It isn't easy if youre not have a tight schedule. Management principals are very important to keep on moving to get your goals.
